Asbury is a church with service, missions, and generosity as a driving core value. We believe in the words of John Wesley when he said, "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."
It is our belief that by serving the last and the least that we serve Jesus Christ himself (Matthew 25:31-46). Because of this, we are committed to doing all we can to meet the needs that we see present in the world around us believing that, in doing so, we participate in the Kingdom of God.

Asbury's partnership with Laura Wilder Elementary is our signature ministry to our community as we seek to serve the students and families of our neighborhood school. We serve by volunteering for various school events, mentoring students, providing material resources for classrooms and staff, and praying for all involved in the community at Laura Wilder Elementary.
Come make Plarn Sleeping Mats for Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC). Plarn is plastic yarn made out of plastic grocery bags. The Sleeping Mats are sent internationally and locally. They are great for those who need a barrier between them and the hard ground. They have been sent for disaster relief, for the homeless, and for those who need temporary sleeping arrangements. Please sign up in the Mission Room (Room 005).

HyVee gift cards may be purchased on Sunday mornings in the Hospitality Room. See Scott Roberts. You can also stop by the church office to get gift cards or mail a check and gift cards will be mailed to you. 5% of all sales come back to Asbury. These funds are used to fund mission projects throughout the year. Thank you for supporting this program.

In addition to our work with Laura Wilder Elementary, Asbury partners with many other local agencies and ministries to address the needs that are present in the community of Sioux Falls. Whether it is serving meals at The Banquet, weaving sleeping mats for Midwest Street Medicine, providing meals through Nightwatch Canteen, or working with the many other ministry partners that we have, our desire is to help be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of Sioux Falls.
Asbury is committed to supporting the missions ministries of the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church in partnership with congregations throughout North and South Dakota. Our primary focus in this partnership is Tree of Life Ministry in Mission, SD as they serve the Rosebud Reservation. Asbury has served by sending short-term mission teams, providing financial support, delivering used bikes, and sending many other material resources.
Asbury is proud to partner with others throughout the United States and around the world to reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ. We do this in partnerships with the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and with Midwest Mission Distribution Center by providing personal dignity kits, student kits, packing rice meals and providing funds for global relief efforts.
