Our July mission project is Personal Dignity Kits for Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC). Pick up a resealable bag and shopping list in the Hospitality Room, do the shopping and return the bag to the table. The kit includes 1 hand towel (no kitchen towels), 1 washcloth (no dishcloths), 1 toothbrush (no multipacks), 1 bar soap (3-4 oz), 1 shampoo (12-19 oz), 1 deodorant (2-3 oz, stick, roll-on, or pump), 1 lotion (8-10 oz), 1-gallon resealable plastic bag and $2 donation for toothpaste and carrying bag. Cash donations are also welcome and we’ll shop for you! Thank you.
It’s time to start sewing cloth bags for the Missions Team…our goal is 200 bags! We’ll be filling these bags with school supplies for MMDC (Midwest Mission Distribution Center) in August. Sewers are invited to pick up a pattern and fabric outside the church office or here’s the pattern. Fabric donations are also welcome and can be dropped off in the container by the church office. The recommended fabrics are denim, corduroy, sailcloth, med-heavy drapery, and light upholstery. Questions? Please contact Cindy Nelson.
