ASBURY RUMMAGE SALE - July 11, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Is it time to go through your closets and do a little spring cleaning?  Please bring your items to the Fellowship Hall on July 8, 9 and 10 for the sale.  Big ticket items are welcome.  No clothing please.  Proceeds
support the DC Mission Teams.

 

CAR WASH - July 12, 7:45 - 11:00 a.m.  How about a fantastic car wash?  Just drop the car off with us in the Asbury parking lot before worship and we will wash it while you are in worship.  Your freewill offering will support the Washington, DC Mission Team.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

SUPPORT THE UM COMMITTEE ON RELIEF (UMCOR) AND THE INGATHERING

The Asbury Ingathering Store is now open in the Hospitality Room.  During July you can purchase a SCHOOL KIT for $8 or pick up a list of items and do the shopping yourself!  Buy any item in any quantity and place the items in the box under the table.  If you like to sew, we are also in need of school bags; pick up a pattern at the store.  The Missions Committee thanks you for your support.

 

PHARMACIST AT ASBURY JULY 12 FROM 9:00 - 11:00 A.M.

Asbury will host a pharmacist to discuss or explain any medications.  Please bring your medications along.  Please call Tracy, our Parish Nurse, at 359-0242, to schedule a 15 minute appointment.

 

STILL TIME TO SIGN UP FOR SHORT-TERM DISCIPLE CLASS

This is the Disciple study of John.  This eleven week course will run on Sundays, July 12 - September 27 (no class on Labor Day weekend) from 9:15 - 11:00 a.m.  Leader: Jeff Nelson.  Cost of the book is $11.  Sign up in the Hospitality Room.

 

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY

There are a number of Financial Peace University classes beginning in September in the Sioux Falls area.  Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls and Celebration United Methodist Church in Brandon will offer these classes.  Please see the Hospitality Board for information. 

 

For Asbury to hold a Financial Peace University class, we must have a minimum of five people attending.  If you are interested in having a class at Asbury, please sign up in the Hospitality Room.

SIGN UP TO RECEIVE THE CIRCUIT RIDER BY EMAIL

We would like to email the newsletter to our members and friends.  When the newsletter is ready each month you will receive an email with the newsletter and calendar attached in a PDF format.  If you would like to sign up to receive the newsletter via email each month please email Roxie at rpogany@sfasbury.org and put “email Circuit Rider” in the subject line.  Some paper copies will be made available for those who do not have internet access.  Please help Asbury protect the environment, conserve resources, and save time and money.

MISSIONARIES IN NEED OF YOUR PRAYERS

We would like to have the congregation sign up to be prayer partners with our Washington DC missionaries.  This is a great way to become part of God’s work on this trip, even if you are not able to join us.  Details and sign up on the board in the Hospitality Room.

 

LOAVES & FISHES FOOD MINISTRY

The purpose of the food ministry is to prepare meals that can be frozen and then will be available to whomever may need them.  If you know of someone that could use a meal, please contact the church office, anyone on the Health Council, or Tracy and we will make sure one is delivered to them.

 

 

SUNDAY MORNING TECH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The Worship Committee is looking for volunteers to run the lights, sound and projection equipment in the balcony during morning
worship services ( 8:00, 9:15 and 11:15).  Must be high school age or older.  Awesome training provided!  If interested, please contact Cindy Nelson (cynthianelson1@sio.midco.net or 338-5019) or Steve Hirsch (steve.hirsch00@gmail.com).

 

SUMMER MUSIC NEEDED

If you or a group of you would like to bring summer music to our worship services throughout the summer, please sign up in the Hospitality Room.  Dates available until September 6.

 

  

BIG SIOUX CAMPGROUND SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES

This will be the 8th year of providing a worship service for the campers at the State Park near Brandon.  Please consider bringing a Message and Music to the campers throughout the summer months.  Sign up sheet is in the Hospitality Room.  If you have any questions, please contact Gary Hyatt at gehyatt@sio.midco.net or Pastor Martha Brandt at martha@sfasbury.org.
